Service Name
Supported Employment and Education

Description
The Supported Employment and Education programs offer a path for clients toward independence, hope, and confidence. Employment specialists provide personalized support and skill-building throughout the job process. Employment specialists help clients look for an occupation that would best suit them and their behavioral health needs, assist in the application and interview process, and follow up with them during their employment to make sure everything is going smoothly. CHD has a long tradition of recognizing the benefits of education and employment for an individual's recovery.

Supported Education is similar to Supported Employment in that it is a program that supports individuals who are looking to pursue some form of education. Education specialists can assist with obtaining a GED, enrolling in trade schools, or enrolling in a college/post-secondary education. Education specialists will support clients throughout the entire education process.
