Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Coordinator

Description
Center for Human Development Inc. is seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Coordinator to coordinate SUD service for all CADC Case Managers and Dual Diagnosis Clinicians. This position will ensure all clients are receiving the appropriate level of care. Provides counseling services to SUD only clients. Works under the general direction of a clinical supervisor who helps establish goals and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness.

Essential Duties
Coordinates CHD client involvement in Treatment (drug) Court. Acts as CHD representative and liaison with Union County Treatment Court.

Oversees coordination of Urine Drug Screenings for clients in SUD services.

Oversees coordination of screening, intake, and discharge planning with inpatient and detox SUD treatment programs. Ensures follow-up with client’s post discharge from Detox/IP and residential SUD treatment.

Helps team members set goals for improvement regarding SUD services and develops written plans for improvement.

Provide individual SUD counseling services and facilitate SUD treatment groups.

Interviews clients, caregivers and family members and makes referrals.

The Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field. 

Must possess a current CADC I or higher, and become certified as a CADC II within two years from date of hire.

Knowledge and understanding of general concepts of substance-related disorder and mental health issues of clients dealing with addictions.

Knowledge of family dynamics and individual and group counseling principles.

Knowledge of community resources

Requires valid driver’s license, and must pass criminal history check and drug screening.
