Public Health Assistant/Contact Tracer

Description
Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Public Health Assistant/Contact Tracer to assist the Communicable Disease RN in improving the health of Union County residents through prevention, education and the provision of direct home or office services in the areas of communicable disease investigations, testing and emergency planning into other community services. Participates in state-developed, or approved, public health emergency exercise programs with local emergency management and public safety agencies, using tools provided by the state for orientation, tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises.

The Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Public Health or related field preferred.

Excellent organizational skills.

Work independently; self-directed and self-motivated.

Interpersonal relations; builds networks relationships with participating counties, early learning hubs, EOCCO hospitals and clinics.  

Works effectively with diverse cultures.

Knowledge and experience of Evidence Based Practices and population based interventions. 

General knowledge of maternal and child health and other areas of Public Health. 

Networking skills.

Influence skills; works effectively within all levels of an organization.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, coworkers, and other agencies.

Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
