On Call Respite Workers

Description
Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking On Call Respite Workers to provide supervision and support in a CHD operated residential home to assist individuals when they are experiencing a mental health crisis. These workers provide immediate, short-term interventions until linkages are made with other appropriate services under the direction and supervision of the Crisis Therapist. This is a great opportunity to gain experience if you are interested in working in the Mental Health field.

Experience and Training Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalency; AND

One year of employed or volunteer experience working with the client population served by the position; OR

One year of post high-school training in health occupations, behavioral or social sciences; OR

Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position. 

Must pass a criminal history background check, have a clean UA and be subject to follow-up UAs as defined by CHD policy.

Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meeting and/or trainings. 

Must be willing to work as needed on-call after hours shifts, overnights and weekends. No guaranteed hours. $14.00 per hour.
