Lead Crisis Respite Worker

Description
Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Lead Crisis Respite Worker to provide support services directly to clients in mental health crisis. Other responsibilities include creating and managing monthly schedules, ensuring the respite house has adequate food and supplies, scheduling quarterly safety inspections and monthly evacuation drills, ensuring facility orientations, and coordinating operations with the crisis therapists and clinical supervisor.

The Requirements
High school graduation or equivalency; AND

One year of employed or volunteer experience working with the client population served by the position; OR

One year of post high-school training in health occupations, behavioral or social sciences; OR

Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position. 

Ability to understand and carry out complex verbal and written multi-step directions and instructions. 

Ability to maintain confidentiality, practice ethically and establish and maintain appropriate physical/emotional boundaries.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, coworkers, and other agencies.

Must be willing to work as needed on call after hours shifts, overnights and weekends.

Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and pass a criminal history check and drug screening.
