Community Eye Clinic

Description
CHD partners with local Doctors of Optometry to provide free eye health checks to qualifying individuals. Medicaid and Medicare often do not cover services such as eye exams or glasses. In response, Union County Doctors of Optometry generously donate their time and expertise to serve those without eye care coverage. Additional support is provided by local Lions Clubs and CHD. Each appointment includes a free eye health check, and if a prescription for eyeglasses is required, it will be provided at no cost to the client.

Demographics
Eye Health Services are free of charge for moderate- and low-income households in Union County. To be eligible, individuals must be without insurance coverage for eye exams or eye care.  Space is limited. Appointments are required.

For eligibility information or to make an appointment, please call 541-962-8800 and ask for more information about the Community Eye Clinic.

Location of Service
Eye Health Checks are provided at CHD (2301 Cove Avenue, La Grande).
