The Behavioral Health Mobile Crisis Team provides 24-hour screening, evaluation, and support to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This team plays a crucial role in promoting safety, stability, and connection to appropriate care. Team members work collaboratively with law enforcement, emergency medical services, and community organizations to assess and de-escalate crises, offering compassionate, evidence-based care in real time. Below are the core responsibilities of the team:

Crisis Intervention and Assessment: Respond to calls involving individuals in behavioral health crises, providing real-time mental health and substance use assessments to determine immediate needs and safety concerns.

Collaboration with Community Partners: Work closely with law enforcement, paramedics, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to coordinate care and ensure a seamless transition to the right services.

Community Outreach and Education: Engage in proactive community outreach to raise awareness about mental health resources, provide education on crisis response, and promote overall mental wellness.

Follow-up Support: Where appropriate, offer follow-up services to ensure that individuals have access to continued care, monitoring their progress and adjusting the care plan as needed.

Behavioral Health Mobile Crisis Team members are trained professionals committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals in crisis, while reducing reliance on emergency rooms and law enforcement intervention.
