Administrative Assistant

Description
Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, coordination of meetings and other events, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, assist accounting and payroll process, etc. Support Administration team on various projects/duties.

The Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential job functions. 

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Detail-oriented.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to use correct grammar and spelling.

Must accurately type at least 40 wpm.

Ability to work independently.

Experience and skill in using computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Project management skills.

Independent thinking.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass all criminal history check requirements and drug screenings.

Essential Job Functions
Provide customer service and support.

Type, draft and edit correspondence, including taking minutes during meetings.

Assist with research, annual reports, surveys, etc.

Schedule and coordinate meetings and events.

Screen and route mail, contracts, etc.

PH Accreditation Coordinator

Verify staff completion of required trainings.

File and maintain documents.

Monitor and manage grant tasks.

Managing cell phones.

Manage and assist with various project tasks.

Organize and retrieve materials and documents.

Handle multiple tasks at one time.

Assist with the monthly payroll process as needed.

Assist accounting as needed. Examples are data entry, assist with month end closing, data entry, invoicing, count and verify cash drawer, etc.

Must maintain punctual and regular work attendance.

Must have the ability to maintain positive and professional working relationships with co-workers, clients and other agencies.

Must present CHD in a positive way to coworkers, clients and other agencies.
